Here is the first official Snakeout bio back from 1983 or so:
Haunted by huge amounts of reverb and echo, guitarist Len Puch formed SNAKE OUT in the winter of 1983. After a year in the basement writing new material and developing their sound, they finally hit the streets of Detroit. Within two months, SNAKE OUT began drawing big crowds in their own stomping ground – the Detroit new music scene.
SNAKE OUT calls their music “Kook Rock” because of the humor in their material and performance. Songs like “The Sperm Song” and “Good Gobeley Goo” are a couple of crowd favorites. They perform nearly all originals, the only covers being classic surf songs like “Pipeline” – but even these are done with a Kook Rock twist. Seeing is believing when it comes to this band, and a written description could never do them justice when it comes to a live show. The audience is invited – even encouraged! – to participate in the show b chair surfing, dancing on their backs or even “sperm dancing!”.
The band’s lineup consists of Len Puch – lead guitarist & vocals, Greg Mitchell – bass, and Tim Reagan – drums. Guitarist Len Puch is the head Kook of the band and thrills crowds with his off-the-wall humor and overall craziness. Walking across tabletops while playing his guitar, or playing it on his back, is part of every Snake Out show.
Snake Out is a band that makes the audience a part of the show, and they’re guaranteed to provide you with some genuine, hair-raising fun! (With all the cheering and hollering that goes on at their shows, they must be something’ right?!). So, for a good time, call SNAKE OUT! Or better yet, come see ‘em play!
They’re
wigged-out and wild! Daddy-o!!
